The woman, the mother, and the practitioner behind Awakened T.R.U.T.H

My Story

U.S. Army Veteran | 17 Years of Pharmacy Field Experience | Holistic Wellness Practitioner | Mother & Founder

My journey into holistic wellness is rooted in a lifetime of service, a deep respect for the human body, and one of the most personal experiences of my life—motherhood.

As a United States Army veteran with 17 years of experience in the pharmacy field, I spent much of my professional life working within the world of conventional healthcare. That experience gave me valuable knowledge about medications, the importance of individualized care, and the different ways our bodies respond to what we put into them.

Over time, my understanding of wellness began to expand. I became increasingly drawn to a more holistic perspective—one that considers not only physical symptoms, but also nourishment, lifestyle, emotional well-being, stress, spiritual connection, and the unique needs of each individual.

That journey led me to become a holistic wellness practitioner and ultimately inspired the creation of Awakened T.R.U.T.H Holistic Wellness Consulting.

But my professional experience is only part of my story.

My most personal lessons in patience, compassion, and whole-person wellness have come through being a mother.

My youngest son, Kamari, was born six weeks and five days prematurely. From the beginning of his life, I paid close attention to his health, his digestion, his development, and the ways he experienced the world around him.

As he grew, I began navigating the realities of raising a child experiencing developmental and communication delays. One of the hardest parts has been watching my son try to express himself without always having the words to communicate what he wants, what he needs, or how he feels.

As his mother, I want to understand him. I want to know when something is bothering him, when he's uncomfortable, or when he's simply trying to tell me something.

And deep in my heart, I long for the day I hear him speak to me—to hear him say something as simple as, “Mom, I want this.”

That hope lives alongside the love and appreciation I have for who he is today.

Throughout Kamari's journey, I've also been deeply attentive to his digestive health. My observations and concerns have led me to focus on supporting his gut wellness, nourishment, and nutritional needs while honoring his individual developmental timeline.

I don't pretend to know exactly when his words will come or whether his digestive challenges are connected to his communication development. What I do know is that I want to support his health, provide the nourishment he needs, and give him every opportunity to grow and thrive.

This journey has taught me that wellness is not one-size-fits-all—and neither is development.

I've learned that meaningful progress requires consistency, patience, observation, grace, and love. I've learned to celebrate the small victories while continuing to hope for the milestones still ahead. And I've learned that supporting someone through a wellness journey means meeting them where they are, not where we think they should be.

These experiences helped inspire Rooted & Rising by Awakened T.R.U.T.H, a family-centered extension of my practice created to support parents who want to take a more intentional approach to their children's nourishment, daily rhythms, and overall well-being.

My approach is also deeply spiritual. I believe wellness involves more than the physical body. Our emotions, lived experiences, stress, beliefs, and relationship with ourselves all deserve attention. Through practices such as grounding, breathwork, meditation, and reflective journaling, I encourage individuals to develop greater awareness and connection with themselves as part of their personal wellness journey.

Today, I bring together my military background, 17 years in the pharmacy field, holistic wellness practice, spiritual perspective, and lived experience as a mother.

I don't believe every person needs the same protocol, the same support, or the same path forward. I believe in listening, understanding the whole person, respecting individuality, and creating space for sustainable growth.

Awakened T.R.U.T.H was born from that belief.

It is a reflection of my commitment to serve with intention, lead with compassion, and help individuals and families become more connected to their well-being—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Because to me, true wellness isn't about perfection.

It's about awareness, alignment, nourishment, and honoring the journey of becoming whole.
